The Biltmore House
The Biltmore House is the largest privately owned house in the United States. It is 178,926 square feet and the estate covers almost 11 square miles. The home was built by George Vanderbilt in 1895 and, today, is still owned by George Vanderbilt’s descendants. The Biltmore Estate became open to the public in 1930. It has a total of 250 rooms including 35 bedrooms, 43 bathrooms, 65 fireplaces and 3 kitchens.
The Biltmore Gardens consist of 2.5 miles of walkable pathways through the Italian Garden, Shrub Garden, Spring Garden, Walled Garden, Rose Garden, Azalia Garden, Conservatory and the Bass Pond & Boathouse. Allocate at least 2 to 4 hours to explore these beautifully manicured gardens with varietals from all over the world.

Antler Hill Village & Winery consists of dining, shopping, exhibits, Farmyard with farm friendly animals, an historic winery and an Outdoor Adventure Center. The Biltmore Winery is the most popular attraction at Antler Hill Village. It’s the most visited winery in the U.S. and offers free tastings of their 20+ wines.
